This year we have continued to work hard to support our clients, and to continually improve our team and our organisation as a whole!
We'd like to thank you for all of your support this year, and thought we would share some of this year's highlights!
This year, we made the move to become a charity (CIO)! This change meant that we gained a Board of Trustees who have helped to ensure new ideas, skills, and resources are added to assist with growth and quality of the Programme even further! A hugely exciting and massively important step for the organisation!
More recently, we have appointed two new Trustees to our Board - Victoria and Alison! Victoria has experience as a senior associate in a large national law firm, while Alison has more than 30 years of experience in HR! We're thrilled to welcome both ladies on board!
This year, following our council inspection, we retained our 5-Star rating for our Cheshire East Dog Breeding Establishment Licence when it was renewed!
This shows the care and dedication all of our team puts into maintaining excellent animal welfare and breeding practices for our dogs!
This year we have increased our fundraising efforts to help us to change more lives! This has included hosting our first large-scale fundraiser - 'Doggy Fun Day' - in the summer, and then our 'Christ-mutt' Fair! We have also created a Fundraising booklet to help anybody who would like to fundraise for our cause - just email us for a copy!
We created a new online course this year called 'Assistance Dogs: A Practical Guide for Business Owners'. This course is available for free for anybody who might find it useful, and provides detailed information about a variety of topics. These include the role and importance of Assistance Dogs, and how reasonable adjustments can be applied to help Assistance Dogs handlers access businesses with confidence.
This year we launched our own magazine! With two editions released so far, our magazine provides uplifting and inspiring accounts of autistic people overcoming challenges, growing in confidence, and enjoying the freedom they have gained through the support of our trained Assistance Dogs!
This year our team collectively created some 'Company Values'. Our company values help our team to work towards the organisation's visions and goals, showing our drive and motivation for both caring for our dogs and transforming autistic people's lives.
