Making Public Access Easier with the Access Card

Navigating public spaces with an autism assistance dog can be challenging, especially when access rights are questioned. To help remove these barriers, Autism Dogs Charity is now partnering with Access Card, a recognised scheme that simplifies accessibility for disabled people across the UK.

What is the Access Card?

The Access Card provides a simple, universal way to communicate your access needs. Used by over 400,000 people and accepted at 1,600+ venues, it translates access requirements into symbols, helping businesses and service providers understand your needs at a glance.

For assistance dog handlers, this means fewer challenges when entering public spaces, attending events, or booking tickets.

Pre-Approval for Autism Dogs Charity Clients

Great news! All Autism Dogs Charity families will be pre-approved for the Assistance Dog symbol on their Access Card. This ensures that venues instantly recognise your right to access with your assistance dog.
